Alloy Wheel Cleaner

In order to maintain the finish on your alloy wheels it is recommended that you use an alloy wheel cleaner 1st, then follow up with a high quality Wheel Wax or Wheel Polish. This way the alloy wheel cleaner will remove all the dirty, brake dust and grime first, to leave a very clean wheel surface, ensuring that your wheel wax / Polish is applied to a clean wheel and will give 100% protection and shine.

Using a high quality alloy wheel cleaner, like Wonder Wheels from Carplan, or Wonder Wheels "U" for alloy wheels which may require more care when cleaning is recommended.

What Types of Alloy Wheel Cleaner Are Available?

We offer two main types of alloy wheel cleaner, Wonder Wheel and Wonder Wheel Trigger. These are both available in the standard Wonder Wheels formula or the new Wonder Wheels "U" which has been developed for all factory fitted wheels, especially ones requiring extra special care.

The specifically developed wheel cleaning formula is less aggressive on delicate surfaces and has a safe cleaning power for use on wheels with special finishes and specific types of wheels, including Chrome, Unlacquered, Split Rims, Anodised and Damaged wheels.

How Does Wheel Cleaner Work ?

Wheel Polishing - Wheel Cleaning

At PerformanceAlloys.com we recommend using an alloy wheel wax / wheel polish after you have used a wheel cleaner to ensure your alloy wheels are polished and look amazing. We have tested a few different products and would recommend the Autoglym Alloy Wheel Seal above all other products.

Use Alloy Wheel Seal to discourage build up of unsightly brake dust. Wheels polished with Alloy Wheel Seal are easier to clean and will stay cleaner for longer.

If necessary first wash wheels with Autoglym Clean Wheels and allow to dry. Spray wheel rims and spokes with Alloy Wheel Seal and buff surface with dry cotton cloth.

Autoglym Perfect Polishing Cloth is ideal. Do not spray through wheels onto brake discs or calipers.

If unsure then spray product direct to cloth and apply to wheels to avoid spraying brake components.
