HOW TO FIND YOUR ALLOY WHEEL SIZE...

Alloy Wheel Diameter

A quick and easy way to find out the size of your wheel is to check the radius (R) of your tyre e.g. 205/45R15 tyre would indicate you have R15 = 15 inch tyre on your car.  As a result of your tyre size, the diameter of your alloy wheel will be 15" also.

Alloy Wheel Width

To find out the width of your alloy wheel, you will need to check on the alloy wheel itself.

On every alloy wheel the size will be stamped into the alloy wheel, this stamp can be on the outside but is usually stamped on the inside of the alloy wheel on the back of the spokes.

For example, the stamp may read 15 x 7, 7 x 15, 15x7JJ etc. The second value in 17x7 indicated the width of your alloy wheel, in this case the wheel is 7 inches wide (with a diameter of 17 inches).

Not Sure ?

If you are unsure about the size of your wheels our Alloy Wheel Experts™ will be able to tell you the size capabilities of your car.  If you have any doubt, please contact us via email or telephone and we will be happy to go through your options.

Now That I Know My Alloy Wheel Size, How Big Can I Go ?

Every car is different, some cars have more space to fit larger alloy wheels than others. Most cars can take up to 17" alloy wheels without any problems and some cars can take up to 20" without any problems. Due to the amount of different cars and various options we would recommend that you use our Alloy Wheel Finder to look at your various options.

If you wish to know the full size range for alloy wheels and tyres which will fit your car without any modification please feel free to contact our Alloy Wheel Experts who will be happy to go over all your options.

How Much Can I Lower My Car By ?

Our Alloy Wheel Experts ™ are often asked how much can you lower your car by, if you choose various sizes of alloy wheels. The best recommendation is to choose your alloy wheel size first, and when you have them installed on your car you will be able to see how much space is left to lower your car by. This way you will be able to get the biggest possible size of alloy wheels on your car and have it lowered without any problems.
