Brembo High Performance Brake Systems are organised in 3 main product areas:

SPORT: The Brembo Sport Kit consists of: two brake discs: standard size, High Carbon, zinc plated, drilled or slotted finishing and comes complete with a matching set of High Performance Brembo Brake Pads to ensure the best possible setup.

As part of Brembo’s High Performance braking systems, Brembo Sport discs are premium OEM replacement units that meet or exceed all vehicle manufacturers’ specifications and tolerances. They are fully compatible with your current calipers, alloy wheels and other standard chassis components, easily mounting onto the vehicle without any problems.  

Brembo Sport Brakes are the quickest and easiest way to upgrade your current OE brake disks & pads to greatly improve your existing brake setup. 

The brake discs are built in high carbon cast iron and they are available either drilled or slotted. The brake discs are then painted for corrosion resistance and for a bold, aggressive appearance.

What The Brembo Sport Kit Contains 

The Brembo Sport High Performance Brake System consists of an integral brake disc, available drilled or slotted, and comes complete with a set of high performance brake pads.

Product research and development has resulted in a braking system with technical features that guarantee excellent braking power in conditions ranging from normal traffic to the toughest High Performance driving.

High Carbon Cast Iron Discs

High carbon cast iron guarantees top performances and less noise due to a higher damping coefficent.

Drilled Or Slotted Brembo Brake Discs 

Both drills and slots improve braking consistency, continuously cleaning and refreshing the brake pad surface. These slots or drilling provide a path to disperse built-up heat and gasses that result from brake pads acting on the brake disc, as well as help to clean and refresh the brake pad surface.

Both brake disc options help in interrupting the water film in wet driving conditions, improving the brake response; this effect is more sensitive on cross-drilled brake discs owing to the different full/empty ratio of the surface and the possibility to have water flowing through the holes in the ventilation gap (on vented discs).

On the other hand, where extreme friction level is required, the adoption of a highly aggressive brake pad such as in racing applications is necessary and brake discs with slots are the right solution: being the slots not all through the disc thickness, the overall mechanical resistance of the disc is higher. Additionally, all of Brembo’s slotted discs are directional: the discs should be installed such that the end of the slot nearest the outer edge of the brake disc, contacts the brake pad first.

GT Junior: The Brembo GT Junior Brake System is a complete upgraded breaking system which comes complete with new upgraded aluminium calipers, mounting brackets, matching High Performance Brake Pads and a single piece, enlarged high performance brake discs and brake lines. One of the key differences between the GT Junior brake upgrade system and the top of the range Gran Turismo brake system is the fact that it does not have the “Floating” Disc Mounting System with Billet Aluminium Hat which Reduces “Unsprung Weight” for better handling and reduces heat-related stress while also increases brake performance and pedal feel.

Here you can see a full Brembo GT Junior brake upgrade system with Drilled disks which has been fitted to a Skoda Fabia VRS. You will notice that the size of the brake discs are much larger than normal and the brake caliper is also much larger than standard. With this Brembo brake upgrade system we were able to supply alloy wheels to fit straight on without the need for alloy wheel spacers, this is another reason to ensure you deal with the experts when choosing Brembo for your car.

Gran Turismo: The Brembo Gran Turismo Brake System is the ultimate complete high performance brake upgrade system. It comprises of new upgraded aluminium calipers, mounting brackets with 2-piece high performance enlarged (floating) discs and brake lines.  

The ultimate upgraded braking system by Brembo is available for the most demanding customers. This amazing braking system originates from the Racing components, consisting of a ventilated, integral or composite disc, available drilled or slotted, 4 and 8 piston aluminium calipers, a complete set of high performance brake pads, metal braid tubes and high quality small parts.

Brembo Gran Turismo Braking Systems provide amazing stopping power during day to day use, as well as the ultra high performance you would expect from Brembo products when used for track days. All Brembo brake systems are designed to fit perfectly onto the vehicle’s original setup, and are fully compatible with the vehicle’s OE parts and anti-lock braking system (ABS).

In most applications the High Performance Brembo Gran Turismo Brake System have been developed specifically to replace the vehicle’s front brakes (due to the higher braking requirements encountered there), rear brake systems are also offered for selected applications.

For vehicles where the Gran Turismo Braking System is not available for the rear axle, Brembo Sport brake disks (slotted or drilled) are available to replace the standard disks on the rear axle to provide a matched appearance on all four wheels of the vehicle.

The Gran Turismo high performance brake systems are available for a wide selection of cars and SUV’s, However, in certain applications as a result of the Gran Turismo Brake System’s upgraded aluminium calipers and larger diameter brake discs, aftermarket wheels will be required to ensure the necessary brake clearance for the larger Gran Turismo brake calipers and brake disk.

Maserati has designed a new road-going Grand Tourer known as the MC12 from which a GT racing version has also been developed.

Maserati MC12 is the most expensive car in the world. It is more than 5 meters long and only 120 cm high. It is equipped with a V12 engine with a capacity of 6 litres reaching 630 horse power. The breaking system is produced by Brembo.

Brembo equips the new 575 M Maranello with calipers signed “Brembo Carbon Ceramic”.

The 575 M Maranello is the latest model produced by Ferrari and is the evolutionary successor of the 550 Maranello. The new GT Ferrari, which was shown for the first time at the Geneva Motor Show, will be equipped with our Carbon Ceramic Discs and the “Brembo Carbon Ceramic” logo will be displayed on the calipers. The braking system has been adjusted to suit the increased performance of this vehicle especially in terms of fading resistance and breaking response. Brembo will equip the 575 M from May with calipers both front and rear as well as braking discs.

Maximum Monitoring of Wear

One of the Brembo MAX grooves has been specially designed to permit a direct, rapid check on brake disc wear. When this groove is no longer visible, the recommended minimum thickness level has been reached; an indication that users should replace the worn disc. Even so, the braking system will still continue to function thanks to the remaining grooves. A similar wear indicator groove, positioned exactly opposite on the internal disc braking surface, ensures that the disc is perfectly balanced.
