EIBACH Pro Spacers /
H&R TRAK+ Wheel
Spacers
|
|
Alloy wheel spacers are available for 10mm -
90mm track widening per axle. TRAK+ wheel spacers
are made from a proprietary aluminium/magnesium alloy
which is not only incredibly strong, but also very
light (up to 70% lighter than a comparable steel
product) to minimize unsprung weight. TRAK+ wheel
spacers are then hard anodized to ensure a tough,
durable finish that is resista nt to chipping,
scratching and oxidation.
Like all of
Eibach and H&R’s street-engineered products,
Eibach and H&R TRAK+ wheel spacers are certified by the German
Technical Inspection Agency (TÜV).
Eibach and H&R also have the
right wheel bolts or nuts to install TRAK+ wheel
spacers on most cars, with original or aftermarket
wheels.
What EBAICH Pro
Spacers and H&R TRAK+ Wheel
Spacers Do:
Eibach Pro Spacers and
H&R TRAK+ wheel spacers
move the wheel out from the hub, effectively
widening the stance of the vehicle and lowering its
roll centre. This simple modification increases
lateral stability, which in turn provides improved
handling, greater safety and of course, the sleek
style you’ve been looking for. Depending on vehicle
make and model they are available for most domestic
and imported automobiles.
Wheel spacers are
also used when a cars such as: Mitsubitsu 3000GT /
GTO, Peugeot 406's or some Alfa Romeo's (to name a
few) have upgraded brakes, and want to fit
aftermarket alloy wheels on, but the larger
brake
callipers prevents this by coming into contact with
the alloy wheel. Other customers of ours needs wheel
spacers when they have used brake upgrade kits such
as Brembo products. As our fully trained staff deal
with such issues on a day to day basis we have
unique expert knowledge in this area, unlike other
companies who sell wheel spacers. Make sure you deal
with a professional knowledgeable company when
purchasing alloy wheel spacers.

Why Choose Eibach Pro

are car specific, they have been designed and tested for
use on individual cars and have been certified by the
German Technical Inspection Agency (TÜV) for usage on
the widest range of cars. They are
made
to the highest quality and standards in Germany.

Wheel
Spacers Which Are Available
Eibach
and H&R offer four main
types of alloy wheel spacers: DR, DRA, DRS and DRM. All
the spacers can be fitted easily, however the DRS kit
will require the hubs to be taken off the car to remove
the existing wheel studs and replace them with the
extended wheel studs which are supplied. If you decide
to use this kit we would recommend you use a
professionally trained mechanic to undertake this work.
In certain circumstances it is worth getting the DRM
kit, as this removes the need to replace the studs, as
the wheel spacer is in fact bolted onto your hub with
the use of special slim line nuts. This enables the
alloy wheel to be bolted to the spacer to ensure maximum
safety and security. Please find details of the four
main types of alloy wheel spacers below: |
DR = Wheel Spacer
(for 10 – 40 mm track widening)
|
|
|
|
|
|
The wheel spacer
is fitted between the wheel and hub, using longer wheel bolts or Quicksafe-bolts
(please order separately). Please check type of bold head
(taper or round, d 24/28; d 26 = VW + Audi-Original-wheels) and allow for extra
shaft lengths. The system DR is available for vehicles following car producers:
Alfa, Audi, BMW, Citroen, Daewoo, Ferrari, Fiat, Ford, Kia, Lancia, MCC,
Mercedes, Nissan, Opel, Peugeot, Porsche, Renault, Saab, Seat, Skoda,
Volkswagen, Volvo.
|
|
DRA =
Wheel Spacer/Adapter
|
|
|
|
|
|
The Adapter is
fitted to the hub with special wheel bolts and has new threaded holes for
existing wheel bolts. The system DRA is available for vehicles following car
producers: Alfa, Audi, BMW, Citroen, Daewoo, Ferrari, Fiat, Ford, Lancia, Lotus,
Maserati, MCC, Mercedes, Opel, Peugeot, Porsche, Renault, Saab, Seat, Skoda,
Volkswagen, Volvo.
|
|
DRS = Wheel
Spacer with new longer studs (supplied)
|
|
|
|
|
|
The wheel spacer is fitted between the wheel and the hub, exchanging the existing
wheel studs for longer ones. The wheels are then fitted to the hub/spacer with the
existing wheel-nuts. The system DRS is available for vehicles following car producers:
Alfa, Chrysler, Daihatsu, Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Jaguar, Kia, Mazda, Mitsubishi,
Nissan, Opel, Porsche, Proton, Rover, Subaru, Suzuki, Toyota, Volvo.
|
|
DRM =
Wheel Spacer/Adapter
|
|
|
|
|
|
This is fitted to
the hub with special nuts and it carries new wheel studs for the existing
wheel-nuts. The system DRM is available for vehicles following car producers:
Alfa, BMW, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Daihatsu, Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Isuzu,
Jaguar, Kia, Lotus, Mazda, Mercedes, MG, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Opel, Porsche,
Proton, Rover, Ssang-Yong, Subaru, Suzuki, Toyota, Volvo, VW.

How To Order Alloy Wheel Spacers

If you wish to order alloy wheels spacers from
us please give us a call to go over your options. Before you call us to order
we would recommend that you try on your alloy wheel to see how thick you
need your alloy wheel spacers to be, in order to achieve what you require.
How To Measure Clearance For Larger Brake
Callipers
If
you are fitting alloy wheel spacers to ensure clearance from upgraded or larger
brake callipers such as Brembo, we recommend that you use washers on your studs (if your car has
studs) to simulate the thickness of the spacer you require.
When you have enough
washers to simulate the calliper clearance you require, measure the thickness of these
washers as this will be a guide as to the thickness of the wheel spacer you
require.
This method will help to ensure that the wheel spacer
thickness you require is not to much. On Average a 3mm
space from the back of an alloy wheel spoke and the
calliper would be the minimum clearance.
How To
Check What Thickness
of Wheel Spacer I Can Use
In the diagram on the right, you can see how we
recommend that you measure the available space which
you have in order to bring your alloy wheel and tyre
in line with your mudguard. In normal use, you would
want to ensure that your wheel and tyre is in line
with your mudguard, i.e. that your wheels and tyres
do not stick out further than the widest point of
your mudguard.
Most alloy wheel spacers are available in 5mm, 10mm, 15mm, 20mm, 25mm
and 30mm thickness. In some instances other thicknesses are available.
Getting The Correct Bolts For Your DR System Alloy Wheel Spacer
Our
Experts will ensure that if you are fitting wheel
spacers from the DR range of wheel spacers (which
require longer Bolts) that your wheel spacer is supplied
with the correct length bolts for your new setup. It is
important to let us know if you have aftermarket wheels
or O.E ( Original Equipment) wheels on your car / SUV
when ordering. This helps us to ensure that you receive
the correct bolts for your application.

If you are unsure of
anything please call us, as out knowledgeable staff will
be happy to go over your options and ensure that you get
the correct wheel spacer.
